Admission Rules

M. Com. (Part - I)
Candidates for the post Graduate Degree of Master of Commerce (M.Com.) must have passed the bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) of this university or an equivalent there to.
However if the candidate has passed the bachelor of commerce Degree examination in PASS CLASS he/she have to offer at the M.Com., Degree examinations the same Subject with which he has passed the Bachelor degree examination.
The Intake capacity
M. Com. Part I  – 75 Seats.
M. Com. Part II - 75 Seats.
Admission will be made purely on merit basis subject to the following conditions
Reservation

1. 7% Seats will be reserved for S.C.
2. 13% Seats will be reserved for S.T.
3. 10% Seats will be reserved for Baxi Commission.

10% seats will be reserved for students coming from other Universities out of which 5% will be for Gujarat University and 5% for Universities outside Gujarat state with condition that if state remains vacant in any category these can be filled by the candidates from other category.
5% seats will be reserved for sportsmen, NSS and NCC and Female students for encouraging these groups.  Principal of the college is authorized to take decision in this respect.
After filling the seats of above 1 to 3 categories, half of the remaining seats will be filled by the students of this college and half  by student of other colleges affiliated to Gujarat University.
Admission will be given on the basis of grand total of marks secured at B.Com., examination subject to following condition that if any students fails to join the M.Com. course in the year in which he got the B.Com. degree the marks will be deducted from his grant total as follows

1. 2% if the joins after One year.
2. 3% if the joins after Two year.  
3. 5% if the joins after Three or more  year.

Every student has to attach with the admission from the following documents
One attested copy of mark-Sheets of F.Y.B.Com. & S.Y.B.Com. each.
Three attested copies of the marks-sheet of T.Y.B.Com. along with original mark-sheet.
Two recent passport size photo graphs.
Students coming from  out side the Gujarat University college have to attach provisional/final Eligibility  Certificate in Original  along-with two attested copies of it, issued by Gujarat University.
Students coming from other colleges affiliated to Gujarat University have to attach with application Transfer Certificate and N.O.C.
After getting admission every student has to fill the Registration Form for Post Graduate students of Gujarat University.

Attendance

P. G. Rule No. 3 Gujarat University.

No post graduate students shall be allowed to appear for part I or part  II examination unless he/she has attended not less than two third of the number of lecturers delivered in the subject or group of subjects in each term during two terms. Students having short attendance in Ist term will not get admission in IInd term.

Internal Examination

It is compulsory for every students to appear and pass in both the internal tests conducted by the college. If they fail they will not be allowed to appear for Final Examination.

Other Information

Timing for M.Com. class will be from 6.30.p.m. to 8.30. p.m. in Summer and 6.00p.m.to 8.00.p.m. in Winter.
Timing of classes can be changed with prior notice.
Medium of instruction for M.Com class English/Hindi. However students can write their answer in English/Hindi/Gujarati.
University Examination Centre will be at Ahmedabad.
