Shri Ram Krishna Seva Kendra History

    It was a dream of late kaka pribuhdas S. Tolani, founder president of Gandhidham Collegiate Board to establish an Ashram of Sri Ramamkrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission in "Vidya Mandir" an educational campus at Adipur (Kutch). Kaka wanted youth in campus to know the philosophy of youth power preached by Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna. Therefore, he named the boys hostel as Sri Ramakrishna Paramhans Hostel and for girls as Maa Sharada Girls Hostel. He starte Sri Ramamkrishna Center first of all in the hostel itself.
After the death of Kaka in 1988, Madam J.H. Kanal, President GCB and Mr. M.K. Chandnani,Administrator, formally stared Sri Ramakrishna Seva Kendra, first at Prabhu Chaya and then at the office of Gandhidham Collegiate Board. With the untiring efforts of Shri M. K. Chandnani, the land measuring 2.75 acres was got sanctioned from SRCLtd. to devlop Sri Ramakrishna Seva Kendra in Ward 2-A, Adiour. Mrs. Anjana Hazari the curent president of Gandhidham Collegiate Board motivated and helped in getting constructed Sri Ramakrishna Prayer Hall at the said plot, with the financial supoport of Rs. 3.5 Lacs by Dr. N. P. Tolani, Trustee-GCB. When fully developed the Sri Ramakrishna Seva Kendra at Adipur will have Meditation Hall, Library, Art Gallery/Museum and other infrastructure. It is envisaged base for Ashram, like all other Sri Ramakrishna Ashramas will provide an excellent base for spiritual development of the visitors and for the services to the mankind.
